Once there was…. Long, long ago…. Did I ever tell You…. Back when the earth was new…. A miller had a clever daughter…. There was once a boy who knew no fear…. East of the sun and west of the moon…. On a dark and moonless night…. Just the other day…. Back in the age of heroes…. You’ve heard of Jack, right?

I’ll be happy to tell you the whole story —Jane Dorfman

Jane is a teller based in Maryland, right outside of D.C. You can reach her at dorfmanjo@gmail.com

Jane Dorfman's storytelling countenance is quiet and surprising. She slyly draws you into the enchanted worlds of Arabian Nights,or tall-tale Western world of Calamity Jane, or Celtic myth. and you never see it coming.
She can even animate life into a cut-off braid of Willy Nelson's, and it's perfectly believable and hilarious.
Because you don't see it coming. And you'll be saying, "How did she do that?"
Even her personal stories bring you into exotic, true, and completely magical worlds.
And you never see it coming. And therein lies the storytelling hocus-pocus of Jane Dorfman.
